Join us in the celebration our 1st Nomadaversary !!!!

🎂🍾🎉 So..... we finished our first year as full-time Nomads! December 4th was our one year Nomadaversary, what a year this has been. We left Southern Illinois, traveled to Missouri, Arkansas,Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. Our home in Benton sold last February no reason to hurry home for yard work or maintenance so we are truly free-birds!
We came back to Illinois late spring, we spent our summer working for the Corp of Engineers in a fee booth @ #Lake Shelbyville and then we spent fall @#RendLake we stayed super busy seeing family and all of our very best friends!
We got to cheer on our awesome grandsons Jeremiah,Andrew, and Alton in the cross country meets they were in, that was very special!

A lot has changed for us since we left Benton that cold snowy freezing day in December 2019. Our annual check-ups revealed some ugly truths about our lifestyle so instead of popping a pill to fix things we decided to go to a Whole Food Plant-based way of eating😱We researched, and learned what we could then watched a documentary call Forks Over Knives, that convinced us to go for it. We have learned a lot, we are going to the gym again, we feel stronger, younger, healthier, and happier than you could imagine after such a drastic change., and 25 pounds lighter!
We sometimes volunteer with the Corp of Engineers as a way to feel like we are helping others enjoy the outdoors, and to keep us involved and useful.
We have met so many wonderful people in our travels. We love camping even more, and the opportunities that gives us are endless! We are gym hopping as we travel, when we set our sights on a destination we check out the fitness centers in the area and call or email to see if they are open to short term memberships or day passes. Steve is finishing up the first blog post reviewing the different gyms, so watch for that, and we have art projects in process to share soon.
For now we are going to try to find a diamond or two at the Crater of Diamonds mine, this trip is a Christmas present for me ! 🥰Thank you Santa Steve!
I can't wait to see what the new year holds in store for us!
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
God bless you all in the coming new year!
